Check the motor oil is an important part of keeping your car in-check. When checking the oil, make sure you the car has been cooled down (minimum 1 hour). This helps you not get a false reading.
Find the dipstick and pull all the way out with help from the loop. Use a tissue/cloth to wipe the dipstick clean, this will help you get a clear reading. The dipstick has lines on it, indicating the oil level. Of course if the oil level is too low, you must add the correct motor oil before the car is driven again.
Make sure to check your oil also. If it looks milky, then it may be contaminated with coolant. If this is the case, make sure to get it checked by a mechanic as this could be a blown head gasket.
